Yes! Dancing is as easy as walking. Hundreds of thousands have been successfully trained at Fred Astaire Dance Studios. And all lessons are guaranteed - if you are not 100% satisfied with your progress, there is no charge for your lesson.
No. We can teach you how to dance with or without a partner.
Unfortunately, no. As the name suggests, this course is mainly designed to introduce you to the studio, the staff, and our system of teaching.
Although you will be dancing on your very first lesson, there are many factors that determine how long it will take to be good: your natural ability; frequency and consistency of lessons; and how much you practice. Learning to dance is easy, but to be able to dance smoothly and comfortably takes a little more time.
Ballroom dancing is enjoyed by people of all ages - from those in their teens to those in their 70's and beyond!
There is no strict dress code for ballroom dancing. Dress comfortably and avoid restrictive clothing (such as a long, tight skirt). As for footwear, avoid shoes that may slip off easily while dancing (such as mules or flips-flops) as well as sneakers - they tend to stick to the floor.
Absolutely! Just let us know whom and how many you would like to bring. Also, once you become a regular student, you can bring guests to our Champagne Guest Parties and earn free lessons!
Your teacher will recommend the best way for you to continue. If you decide this is not for you, there is absolutely no obligation for you to sign up for more lessons.
We are open Tuesday to Friday, 1:30 PM to 9:45 PM and Saturday, 10:30 AM to 6:45 PM. Appointments outside our regular hours are by special arrangement only.
