Osmin was born in Sancristobal in the Dominican Republic into a dancing family.
He studied at the Colegio Adventista and Instituto Politecnico Loyola and graduated
as an Industrial Mechanic, he also studied English at the English Learning Center
and Instituto Cultural Dominico Americano.
Osmin participated in the time-honored tradition of sweet 15 many times and danced
in performances all over his country. After graduating he worked as a Mechanical
Engineer for Siercor and then onto a major newpaper Listin Diario.
He was able to see the world working on a cruise ship and his travels brought
him to the Norwood Studio.
His cultural background, performance experience and schooling gives him an interesting
appreciation for dance from the ability to take a technical approach for the basic
mechanics of dance for a beginning student to a the very expressive and livelily
performer that he is for when you begin to explore the true expression of dance.
Osmin only has one thing to say about dancing:
“Just express yourself and what you feel, that’s all you need”
